method
- Serves 2
- Chop a large or 1 and a half banana’s and put in an air-tight container and freeze for a minimum of 2 hours
- Dissolve your Taro powder in 30-50ml of hot water and refrigerate until cool
- Once frozen, put your banana slices into a blender or food processor and pulse until it’s crumbly
- Scrape down the sides and pulse again until it’s smooth and creamy
- Incorporate your cold Taro mix and mix until combined
- Put in the freezer to firm up if it’s too thin
- Microwave your tapioca pearls and set aside to cool slightly while you prepare your ice cream
- Serve your ice cream with tapioca and enjoy!
tips:
- Our Taro powder has a little sugar in it and banana’s can be sweet, but you can add honey or a little sugar to your Taro mix to sweeten, however, our tapioca pearls are also sweet, so adjust accordingly
- Let your tapioca pearls cool otherwise the hot pearls may melt your ice cream
